We are rapidly approaching K-Jet.org’s two-year birthday (March 24th). The site has come a long way since then, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of many members of the Volvo community. Also, I couldn’t have done it without the help of OSU’s free web server service to students, as the site takes up almost a gigabyte of space. It’s going to be tough when I have to pay for my own web hosting, which undoubtedly won’t be from the seventh-fastest internet linkup in the world (Go OSU, #7). Anyway, today I finished scanning a 1982 brochure, and put it up in the Docs section.
In other news, I recently negotiated the purchase of a 1984 Volvo 760 Turbo Intercooler for my dad. This car (and ONLY this particular year and model) has, as many of you know, the B23FT engine. This motor has forged engine internals (crank, rods & pistons), came intercooled, has a higher compression ratio than the B21FT (8.7:1 vs 7.5:1) and has a desirable distributor location for engine swaps. Hopefully this engine is going into my dad’s 242, but if he decides not to do the project, I’ll have to come up with something.
